H. D. Landahl Mathematical Biophysics Award

About this program

The Society for Mathematical Biology awards the H. D. Landahl Mathematical Biophysics Award to recognize exceptional scientific contributions to mathematical biology by either a graduate student or a postdoctoral fellow. Each category (graduate student and postdoctoral fellow) is conferred every four years and includes a $500 cash prize, a certificate presented at the Society’s Annual Meeting, and an invitation to attend the meeting. Eligible candidates are current graduate students or postdoctoral fellows whose research in mathematical biology demonstrates outstanding scientific merit; recipients are selected based on the significance of their contributions.
