H. Winter Griffith Resident Scholarship

About this program

The Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) offers the H. Winter Griffith Resident Scholarship to recognize outstanding quality-improvement work advancing patient-centered care in the family medicine medical home. The recipient receives a $1,000 scholarship, certificate, complimentary registration to the STFM Conference on Practice & Quality Improvement, and an opportunity to present a distinguished poster. Eligible applicants are family medicine residents or resident teams whose projects demonstrate measurable improvements in patient engagement, team-based care, or healthcare quality and safety; prior STFM conference award recipients within the past three years are ineligible. Applications are due June 30 annually and must include a project description, improvement methodology and data demonstrating meaningful change, a commitment-to-present letter, and a program director recommendation.
