Healthy Behaviors Initiative Program Grant

About this program

The Rapides Foundation offers the Healthy Behaviors Initiative Program Grant to support community-driven, evidence-based solutions aimed at preventing obesity, controlling tobacco use, and reducing substance and alcohol abuse. Funding of up to $300,000 is available for new programs, with up to $50,000 per year for three years for existing program continuations.

Eligible applicants include community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, not-for-profit postsecondary institutions, and governmental entities, provided they are Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt or governmental organizations located within or serving The Rapides Foundation’s nine-parish service area. Proposals must utilize local data, focus on broad-reach interventions, and address community assets and barriers to healthy behaviors.
