Healthy Harbor Grant Program

About this program

The Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina offers the Healthy Harbors Grant Program to fund projects aimed at enhancing water quality in the Charleston Harbor and its surrounding areas. Eligible initiatives may address pollution, conduct research, collect data, engage in citizen science, education, advocacy, or litigation, and focus on issues like plastics, bacteria, climate change, and coastal flooding. Applicants must be organizations operating in Berkeley, Charleston, or Dorchester counties, with priority given to small to mid-sized entities, including neighborhood groups. The application deadline is February 3, 2025, with final decisions announced in March.
