The Florida Ornithological Society offers the Helen G. and Allan D. Cruickshank Research Award to support focused research projects that improve knowledge of wild birds in Florida, with typical awards of $2,000–$2,500. Proposals must address wild birds and propose work to be conducted in Florida; students (undergraduate through PhD) are especially encouraged to apply, and postdoctoral researchers and non-profit organizations or their representatives may also be eligible. Applications are submitted via the Society’s online form and must include two uploaded documents (a CV and a proposal with a project budget); the notice lists a 5:00 pm February 15 deadline (year not specified) with winners announced by April 15, and questions can be directed to Committee Chair Beth Forys.
