The Florida Ornithological Society offers the Helen G. and Allan D. Cruickshank Research Award to support focused research projects that improve knowledge of wild birds in Florida, with typical awards of $2,000–$2,500. Proposals must address wild birds and propose work to be conducted in Florida; students (undergraduate through PhD) are especially encouraged to apply, and postdoctoral researchers and non-profit organizations or their representatives may also be eligible.
