About this program

European Association of Avian Veterinarians (EAAV) Helga Gerlach Student Prizes support the three top presentations in the competitive student session at the ICARE conference, awarding €1,000 (1st: €300 to the student/€700 to the main affiliation), €500 (2nd: €200/€300) and €300 (3rd: €100/€200). Applicants must be students within three years of postgraduate study presenting their first international scientific oral presentation; students in residency programs are ineligible. Candidates must submit their own abstract to the ICARE competitive student session, indicate student eligibility on the ICARE submission, and adhere to the ICARE main program deadlines; winners are selected during the session and announced immediately afterward.
