Henri Boulard Award — Local projects protecting microbiota to preserve human global health

About this program

Biocodex Microbiota Foundation offers the Henri Boulard Award to fund local initiatives that protect microbiota and preserve human health, granting four €10,000 awards annually across Microbiota & Human Health (2 awards), Microbiota & Antimicrobial Resistance (1 award) and Microbiota & Environmental Concerns (1 award); awards are paid €8,000 on grant and €2,000 after 12 months conditional on a progress report. Applicants must be health professionals applying on behalf of an association, research organization, hospital or institution and propose a project that addresses a local unmet human health need related to microbiota with clearly described tools, to be carried out in one of the specified eligible countries in Asia, Latin America, or the Middle East & Africa. Projects unrelated to microbiota, clinical evaluations of drugs or devices, preclinical studies, proposals already supported or submitted by international NGOs, and previous Henri Boulard recipients are ineligible; an independent jury assesses scientific relevance, health significance, feasibility and potential for replication.
