Elsevier and The Combustion Institute co-sponsor the Hiroshi Tsuji Early Career Researcher Award, a US $10,000 annual prize recognizing excellence in fundamental or applied combustion science. It honors early career researchers who have demonstrably advanced a specific field of combustion research within four to ten years of completing a doctoral degree or equivalent, and more than one recipient may be named if equally deserving.
