About this program
The National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) provides annual grant funding to support research and initiatives that advance financial education, evaluation, and related policy work. Applications are accepted in the spring via NEFE’s online grant portal and must begin with a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) submitted before the active cycle deadline. Applicants must review NEFE’s eligibility requirements and guidelines, create or sign in to a portal account, and complete the current LOI template (note that templates prior to 2026 may not align with the portal).
