Howard I. Maibach Travel Award

About this program

American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS), funded by the Neutrogena Corporation in honor of Dr. Howard I. Maibach, offers the Howard I. Maibach Travel Award—a $1,000 stipend to help defray travel expenses for investigators based outside the United States and Canada who present an oral or poster at the ACDS Annual Meeting. Applicants must be at an equivalent level to U.S. residents, fellows, or post‑doctoral instructors, document that status with a letter from their program director or supervisor, indicate eligibility on their abstract submission, and send a letter expressing interest; supporting letters may be emailed or mailed to the ACDS office. Selection emphasizes originality, study design and methods, clinical and scientific usefulness, clarity, and ethics, with preference in tie-breaks for applicants from less-resourced countries; studies involving humans or animals must have local IRB/ethics approval.
