HQP Travel Support Award

About this program

CAIMS•SCMAI provides travel support for highly qualified personnel (graduate students and postdoctoral research associates) to defray travel, accommodation, and registration costs for in-person presenters at the CAIMS Annual Meeting. Awards are tiered by travel distance—approximately $100 for travel from points between Montreal and Windsor, $200 for other points in Ontario and Quebec, and $500 for travel from outside Ontario and Quebec—and are disbursed after the conference upon submission of receipts. Eligible applicants are HQP enrolled at Canadian universities who are presenting a talk or poster in person; funding is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted. Applications must include a brief letter of support from the supervisor and a completed form with contact information, position, home university, paper/poster title, and (for graduate students) degree and year of study.
