About this program
The Institute of International Education (IIE) offers the IAF Grassroots Development PhD Fellowship to support dissertation research in Latin America and the Caribbean. This fellowship aims to foster a community of experts in grassroots development and raise awareness of initiatives that improve the lives of the rural and urban poor.
Eligible applicants must be currently registered PhD students who will have advanced to candidacy by their proposed start date, which falls between June 1 and March 31 of the application year. Applications for clinical health research are not accepted.
