IAGLR International Travel Award — support to attend IAGLR annual Conference on Great Lakes Research

About this program

The International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR) offers the International Travel Award to support one or two master's, Ph.D. students, or postdoctoral fellows from institutions outside the United States and Canada to attend the annual IAGLR Conference on Great Lakes Research, covering travel, visa costs, accommodation, and meals (funds are paid on behalf of recipients or reimbursed and must be used in the award year). Eligible applicants must be IAGLR members enrolled in or affiliated with a recognized postsecondary institution outside the U.S. and Canada and conducting research focused on large lakes outside those countries. Applications require online submission of IAGLR member ID, research title and extended abstract, statement of relevance, CV, transcripts, and a PDF faculty/supervisor endorsement letter sent directly to travelaward@iaglr.org. Selection is based on scientific merit, academic excellence, originality, contribution to understanding large lakes, and financial need; applicants from low- and middle-income countries are strongly encouraged to apply.
