IAMG Student Research Grants

About this program

The International Association for Mathematical Geosciences (IAMG), with co-sponsorship from Elsevier for the Computers & Geosciences awards, offers up to nine annual Student Research Grants of US$2,500 each. Grants support postgraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral research in geocomputation and geoinformatics, mathematical geosciences, or natural-resource research aligned with the scopes of the C&G, MG, or NRR journals. Applicants must submit an online application by May 31, including a project description, budget, supervisor and institution details, and a supervisor support letter; applicants may apply only once during a given degree or diploma program. Funds cannot be used for conference travel or registration, open-access charges, or tuition, and awardees must submit a research abstract and full report.
