Ida B. Wells Graduate Student Fellowship

The Coordinating Council for Women in History (CCWH) offers the Ida B. Wells Graduate Student Fellowship, an annual $1,000 award to support a graduate student’s historical dissertation that interrogates race and gender, whether for a crucial research stage or the final year of writing. Applicants must be CCWH members, enrolled in a graduate program at a U.S. institution, and have achieved A.B.D. status by the time of application. Recipients may hold this award concurrently with other funding and need not attend an awards ceremony; inquiries can be sent to WellsAward@theccwh.org.
