About this program
Australian Wildlife Society's Individual Youth Conservation Award is an annual prize recognizing and rewarding young volunteers who contribute to the preservation of Australian wildlife. It aims to support youth conservation efforts, raise awareness, and honor an individual who does not meet the criteria for the Society’s Community Conservation, Serventy Conservation, or Wildlife Rehabilitation Awards. Open to volunteers aged 13–18, the award includes a $500 cash prize plus a trophy and certificate. Nominations are submitted via the Society’s online or PDF form, with applications received annually by 31 December; winners are notified by email and announced at the AGM and in Australian Wildlife magazine.
