Industry Discovery & Development Partnership (IDDP) Program

About this program

Breakthrough T1D is offering a suite of funding mechanisms (see the June 2024 Grant Handbook) to support research across priority T1D areas, including FY27 training awards, clinical trials for cardiovascular disease, studies on insulin dosing and ketone monitoring, islet cell replacement and immune tolerance, in vitro disease models, and an Industry Discovery & Development Partnership (IDDP) for commercial-stage projects. The Grant Handbook contains application guidelines, checklists, administrative resources, terms and conditions, and contact information. Training awards may include human-subject research on long-term complications (diabetic eye, kidney, cardiovascular disease), and the IDDP specifically targets for-profit organizations with projects aligned to Breakthrough T1D priorities (inquiries: preaward@breakthrought1d.org). Letters of Intent and Full Proposals must be submitted by 5:00 pm Eastern on the posted deadline and must follow the handbook’s eligibility and submission requirements.
