Inter-Country Travel Grant (invite U.S. Fulbrighters in Europe to Finland)

About this program

Fulbright Finland Foundation’s Inter-Country Travel Grant enables Finnish host institutions to invite U.S. Fulbrighters based elsewhere in Europe for short, high-impact visits (up to one week), covering travel expenses from the Fulbrighter’s current host city to Finland. Visits may include lecturing, consulting, workshops, evaluation/development projects or outreach with wide impact, and hosts are expected to arrange schedules, workspace, arrival pickup and a post-visit report. Eligible hosts are Finnish universities, research institutions, NGOs, government ministries, cultural and public-health institutions; invitees must be U.S. Fulbright scholars, teachers, professionals or advanced PhD students actively on their Fulbright grant in Europe at the time of the visit. Applications are submitted to the specified Dropbox at least six weeks before the visit and are reviewed on a rolling basis; the grant does not cover local costs (accommodation, meals, local transport) which must be agreed in advance, and recipients may not receive honoraria from the inviting Commission or institution.
