International Research Grant for Students and Early Career Professionals (ECPs)

About this program

The Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy (SAP) offers a $1,000 International Research Grant to support international and cross‑cultural psychotherapy research by graduate students and early career professionals, funding supplies, necessary training, and travel to present findings. Applicants must be SAP members and either graduate students or early career professionals within 10 years of their doctoral degree; required materials are a 1–2 page cover letter describing fit with SAP internationalization goals and proposed use of funds, a one‑page budget, a 5–10 page double‑spaced research proposal, and one letter of recommendation. Recipients must complete applicable tax forms (W‑9 for U.S. recipients or W‑8BEN for eligible international students), may receive a Form 1099, must submit full accounting within six months of project completion and return unspent funds after two years, and should email complete applications to the International Domain Representative (Xu Li) at LIXU.BNU@gmail.com; an extended deadline of “March 31” is noted (year unspecified).
