About this program

AbbVie’s Investigator‑Initiated Studies (IIS) Program provides funding and/or product support for investigator‑led research that expands scientific knowledge and potential applications of AbbVie products, targeting strategic 2026 priorities such as Aesthetics, Eye Care, Immunology, Neuroscience, Oncology and Specialty areas. Academic and community‑based physicians and researchers worldwide may apply by submitting a brief study summary through the IIS Study Submission Portal; submissions are accepted on a rolling basis and may be requested to submit a full protocol and final budget. Proposals are reviewed for scientific merit, alignment with AbbVie’s research interests and available funding, and any financial or product support is contingent on execution of a formal research agreement; submission does not guarantee approval.
