About this program

Abbott’s Investigator Sponsored Study (ISS) program offers financial support, free-of-cost devices, and data-sharing to investigators and their institutions to advance clinical or scientific knowledge of Abbott products and related disease states, subject to Abbott review and full approval. Applicants must submit an English-language concept or protocol via Abbott’s submission process and include the type of support requested, whether the study is multi-funded, a CV, any relevant publications, and a W-9 for U.S. institutions. Eligible applicants include medical or professional associations, community health centers, patient advocacy groups, and universities or colleges. Abbott discourages overhead charges, respects sponsors’ pre-existing IP, but retains exclusive rights to inventions related to Abbott products; sponsors retain study data but must provide Abbott with reports or de-identified protocol-specified datasets.
