ISMB Travel Grants for Young Scientists

About this program

The International Society for Matrix Biology (ISMB) offers travel grants averaging €500 to help graduate students and postdoctoral researchers (up to 5 years post-Ph.D., with allowable extensions for maternity leave, military service, etc.) attend major matrix biology meetings worldwide. Applicants must be current ISMB members; priority is given to ISMB-supported meetings (e.g., Matrix Biology Europe, American Society for Matrix Biology, Pan Pacific Connective Tissue Societies Symposium), though other meetings aligned with the Society’s aims are eligible. Submit a single PDF including a letter describing the meeting, amount requested and justification; the poster/short-talk abstract; and your CV with publications, and apply several months in advance of one of the quarterly deadlines (Jan 1, Apr 1, Jul 1, Oct 1). Awards are paid as reimbursement after you provide proof of participation and a written meeting report for the ISMB newsletter, with receipts submitted within three months of the meeting’s end.
