IUBMB Wood-Whelan Research Fellowships

Offered by the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB), the Wood‑Whelan Research Fellowships fund short‑term research and training visits for trainee and early‑career biochemists to work in a laboratory other than their home institution. Applications are accepted twice yearly—15 March for visits during July–December and 15 September for visits during January–June—with submissions due by 11:59 pm Pacific Standard Time and applicants notified within six weeks. Eligible applicants are trainees or early‑career researchers in biochemistry/molecular biology proposing a short‑term training visit abroad; retrospective applications are not considered and candidates are encouraged to apply at least one cycle in advance.
