The J. C. & L. A. Duke Employees' Assistance Fund, sponsored by the Saint Paul and Minnesota Foundation, offers grants to support current and retired 3M employees and their families facing financial challenges resulting from catastrophic illnesses or accidents. The grants aim to promote self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life for employees and their families during difficult times.

To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate financial hardship, a lack of benefits, and explain how the grant will help them overcome their adversity. The funding is open to active employees, those on leave, recently retired, immediate family of deceased employees, and representatives of incapacitated employees.
