Jain Foundation - New Submission: Research Funding for Dysferlin-related Projects

The Jain Foundation, a patient- and family-funded nonprofit focused on dysferlinopathy, provides research grants for projects that directly advance understanding of dysferlin deficiencies or pursue novel treatment approaches. Proposals must follow the Foundation’s cover page and preferred format (approximately 6–10 pages excluding references) and include relevant background, specific aims, detailed experimental methods, preliminary data, an aggressive timeline of experiments, and a fully itemized budget with justification; proposals missing a detailed timeline or budget will not be considered. Projects must be novel (applicants must perform due diligence to ensure the work is not already being done elsewhere), and the Foundation does not fund indirect costs—institutions are asked to waive them. Submit dysferlin proposals to researchfunding@jain-foundation.org (CNNM2 proposals to CNNM2ResearchFunding@jain-foundation.org); awarded projects must sign the Jain Foundation Research Agreement (and an expenditure responsibility agreement for foreign academic institutions and all for‑profits) before funding is released.
