Jane Bruckel Early Career Investigator Award in Axial Spondyloarthritis

The Spondylitis Association of America offers the annual Jane Bruckel Early Career Investigator Award, a $30,000 research grant to support axial spondyloarthritis research (funds may not be used for indirect costs). Eligible applicants are MDs or PhDs at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level at U.S. or Canadian institutions who have demonstrated contributions to the care or understanding of spondyloarthritis. Applications (accepted May 1–Aug 1) must include a CV, a one‑page personal statement of accomplishments and plans, a senior investigator letter of nomination, and a statement describing how the funds will be used within one year; awardees must acknowledge SAA funding, provide brief yearly progress summaries, and be available for a short interview/publicity.
