The Cushman Foundation for Foraminiferal Research, Inc. offers the Johanna M. Resig Foraminiferal Research Fellowship to provide major support for advanced doctoral candidates conducting foraminiferal research during their final 1–2 years of graduate study. Applicants must be Cushman Foundation members and demonstrate an excellent Foraminifera-focused research topic, a strong academic record, and evidence of commitment to a career in foraminiferal research; the dissertation advisor must confirm that all degree requirements except dissertation completion are satisfied. Application materials (preferably PDF) include a compiled File 1 (2‑page research summary plus optional page for figures/citations, list of current and pending support with estimated shortfall, and a 2–3 page CV), official transcripts, an advisor letter describing how the award will enable completion within 1–2 years, and two additional recommendation letters sent directly to cushmanfoundation@gmail.com; all materials are due annually by March 1.
