Jr. Investigator Travel Awards — SPS Annual Meeting

Safety Pharmacology Society offers Jr. Investigator Travel Awards to support junior investigators’ participation in the SPS Annual Meeting, providing complimentary meeting registration, up to $1,000 USD travel reimbursement (receipts required), and one year of complimentary SPS membership. Eligible applicants include undergraduate and graduate students, technical staff, junior scientists, postdoctoral fellows (<5 years), and early-career lab heads with less than 10 years’ experience in safety pharmacology from academia, CROs, pharma/biotech, government, or preclinical research; previous Junior Travel Award winners, professors, and management personnel (laboratory heads, PIs, supervisors) are excluded. Applications (all materials due June 27) require a 350-word abstract submitted via the online portal (optional expanded abstract), a signed letter of recommendation from a supervisor/PI describing the applicant’s contributions, a current CV, and any supporting documents; awardees must present a poster PDF at the meeting and attend poster sessions and the Awards ceremony. Applications are evaluated on scientific clarity and merit (objectives, methods, results, discussion), originality, and overall candidate quality based on CV and letters of recommendation.
