Kate F. Hays Distinguished Mentor Award

About this program

Funded by the AASP Foundation, the Kate F. Hays Distinguished Mentor Award honors an Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) member whose mentoring or supervision has significantly influenced mentees’ professional work and personal development in sport and performance psychology. The recipient receives a $1,000 cash award, complimentary AASP Annual Conference registration, and a commemorative plaque. Nominees must be professional AASP members and active Certified Mental Performance Consultants® (CMPCs), although early-career professionals may be considered; nominations may be submitted by AASP student or professional members and must include a two-page statement and up to four mentee testimonial letters. Applications are due April 15 annually.
