Kavli Foundation Emerging Leader in Chemistry Lecture

About this program

The Kavli Foundation sponsors the Emerging Leader in Chemistry Lecture (through 2025), an award that presents two invited lectures at each American Chemical Society (ACS) national meeting to recognize outstanding early-career chemical scientists. Eligible nominees must be under 40 years of age and within ten years of receiving their Ph.D., and be highly regarded for significant contributions to chemistry or related multidisciplinary areas. Nominations must be made by one or more ACS Committees or Technical Divisions (each may nominate up to two individuals) and approved by the respective Committee/Division Chair. Evaluation requires documentation of three major accomplishments (e.g., seminal publications, commercialized products/processes, high-impact projects); required materials are a proposed lecture title and 200‑word scope, a nominator’s letter (1,000‑word limit) on letterhead, and the nominee’s CV (1,000‑word limit); contact mppg@acs.org.
