KHS Research Fellowships

About this program

The Kentucky Historical Society offers spring short-term research fellowships (one to four weeks) to support archival research on any aspect of Kentucky history, providing on-site access to KHS collections and opportunities to share findings through KHS outlets such as the Kentucky Chronicles podcast. Fellowships are open to academic and independent researchers, including international applicants, whose projects require focused use of KHS holdings. Applicants must follow the published fellowship guidelines and deadlines and complete the residency during the spring term; for application materials or questions, consult the KHS fellowship guidelines or email KHSFellowships@ky.gov.
