Klingenstein Fellowship Awards in Neuroscience

The Esther A. & Joseph Klingenstein Fund offers the Klingenstein Fellowship Awards in Neuroscience to support innovative basic, clinical, cellular, molecular, systems, and translational research relevant to neurological and psychiatric disorders. Awards provide $150,000 annually for three years ($450,000 total) for salary, personnel, equipment, or other research expenses, with applications opening September 15 and due February 1. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D., have completed research training, and be independent investigators with a tenure-track or equivalent appointment at a U.S. institution, within four years of completing their last postdoctoral training. Applications require an institutional confirmation letter, research plan, selected publication abstracts, and three or four recommendation letters; priority is given to promising early-career investigators without substantial private funding.
