Klingenstein Philanthropies’ Esther A. and Joseph Klingenstein Fund offers the Klingenstein Fellowship Awards in Neuroscience to support high‑risk, high‑reward basic and clinical neuroscience research aimed at advancing understanding and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders. Priority areas include cellular and molecular neuroscience (neuronal excitability, development, genetics of behavior), neural systems, and translational studies addressing causes, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Awards target highly promising early‑career investigators at the start of independent research careers and include a three‑year fellowship term during which fellows are required to attend an annual conference in New York City.
