Kurt Weill Dissertation Fellowship

The Kurt Weill Foundation for Music offers the Kurt Weill Dissertation Fellowship to support doctoral candidates researching Kurt Weill, Lotte Lenya, and/or Marc Blitzstein. This fellowship aims to fund projects that address significant gaps in existing scholarship, fostering innovative contributions to the field. Eligibility is limited to doctoral candidates who demonstrate exceptional potential, supported by academic recommendations. Applications are due November 1 annually, with an additional June 1 deadline primarily for performance grants, and require a project description, CV, budget, dissertation proposal, writing sample, and two letters of recommendation.
