LAF Honor Scholarship in Memory of Joe Lalli, FASLA

The Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) offers the LAF Honor Scholarship in Memory of Joe Lalli, awarding one $20,000 scholarship, a $10,000 first runner-up, and a $5,000 second runner-up to support graduate landscape architecture study and to honor commitments to drawing, artistic pursuits, travel, and service; application deadline is February 1. The award celebrates Joseph J. Lalli’s legacy and prioritizes demonstrated design ability, leadership, character/integrity, service to the profession, and consideration of financial need. Eligible applicants are students currently enrolled in an LAAB- or LAAC-accredited master’s program at a university in the U.S. or Canada with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicants must use LAF’s online system and submit required materials including a headshot, short bio, resume, financial aid form, two letters of recommendation, a 500-word essay, and up to six projects of work samples (6 pages total), following all formatting guidelines.
