LAF Ignite

About this program

The Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) annually selects 4–7 students for the Ignite program, which supports emerging landscape architects through a multi-year program emphasizing mentorship, career exploration, and engagement with peers. Applicants must be undergraduate or master’s students in an LAAB- or LAAC-accredited landscape architecture program in the U.S. or Canada, in good academic standing, demonstrate financial need and commitment to equitable, sustainable design, and be able to participate fully. For the 2026 cohort, applicants must identify as Black/African American or Indigenous and cannot be entering their final year of study; applicants must have an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later. Applications, including a resume, financial aid information, recommendations, written responses, and work samples, are due through SlideRoom by May 18 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
