About this program
The Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Olmsted Scholars Program recognizes outstanding student leaders from accredited landscape architecture programs in the United States and Canada, awarding national graduate and undergraduate scholars $25,000 and $15,000, respectively, with additional finalist awards. Students must be nominated by faculty and may not apply directly; each LAAB- or LAAC-accredited program may nominate one current master’s student or fourth- or fifth-year undergraduate committed to landscape architecture. Faculty nominations are due February 15, and complete nominee submission packets are due March 15. Selection is based on leadership potential, sustainable planning and design, societal impact, critical thinking, communication, and demonstrated achievements.
