Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation’s Lanesborough Initiative for Excellence (LIFE) Fund offers grants to enhance and enrich the educational experience of students and teachers in the Lanesborough School District, supporting projects that promote high achievement and capacity for excellence. Eligible applicants include students, teachers, administrators, staff, parents, nonprofits and community members affiliated with Lanesborough Elementary School or the Lanesborough School District; typical projects include independent study, new curricular or extracurricular programs, visiting speakers, artists‑in‑residence, teacher professional development, equipment, library resources and field trips. Grants generally cover direct project costs (not salaries), typically range from $100–$1,000, favor proposals that leverage volunteer effort and additional support, and may not be used to replace public school dollars; discriminatory organizations are ineligible.
