LCRF | Boehringer Ingelheim Team Science Award for HER2-mutant Lung Cancer Research

The Lung Cancer Research Foundation, in collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim, offers the LCRF | Boehringer Ingelheim Team Science Award to support multidisciplinary, high‑reward research focused on understanding and developing therapeutic strategies for HER2‑mutant non–small cell lung cancer, including projects addressing tyrosine kinase inhibitor resistance and drug‑tolerant persister cells; a recent recipient team received a $1.5M grant. Applicants should be collaborative research teams (combining basic, structural, computational and clinical expertise) based at academic, clinical or research institutions proposing translational studies that leverage patient samples or models. Proposals must directly address mechanisms of HER2‑dependent or HER2‑independent resistance and outline clear paths toward therapeutic development and potential clinical evaluation. Priority is given to projects with demonstrated team leadership, complementary expertise, and feasibility for moving promising approaches into early‑phase trials.
