Leadership Development Award – Pathology Residents

About this program

The College of American Pathologists (CAP) Foundation offers Leadership Development Awards of up to $1,200 to support pathology residents’ travel to the CAP Residents Forum or Pathologists Leadership Summit, advancing leadership development and engagement with issues facing the specialty. Fall-cycle awards may also cover up to $400 in registration for CAP’s Engaged Leadership Academy, although participants must cover related travel costs. Applicants must be actively enrolled in an accredited U.S. or Canadian pathology residency program, have institutional authorization to attend, and submit a CV, professional headshot, leadership and meeting-goal responses, and a recommendation from their program director or department chair. The spring-cycle application deadline is December 14, 2026, and the fall-cycle deadline is May 4, 2027.
