Library Transformation Grant

About this program

The Tocker Foundation offers Library Transformation Grants of up to $100,000 to help rural Texas libraries redesign and modernize their spaces for current and future community use. Projects pair library staff and leadership with an experienced library architect to create inviting spaces that support increased programming and public engagement. Eligible applicants are libraries serving communities of 12,000 or fewer residents, based on Texas State Library statistics; county libraries may use the relevant city population. Prospective applicants must consult Karin Gerstenhaber to confirm project eligibility, with applications due January 15, 2027.
