About this program
The Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) offers one Linda H. Peterson Fellowship of $20,000 to support four months of full-time equivalent research on any aspect of the nineteenth-century periodical press in Britain or its global contexts. Funds may support sabbatical supplementation, course release, travel, secondary research, writing, and related scholarly activities, provided the project includes substantial research in nineteenth-century primary sources. Applicants must propose a project engaging print, manuscript, or digital-facsimile primary materials; RSVP officers and directors are ineligible, and RSVP membership is generally not required. Applications are due November 15, with recommendation letters due November 22.
