Link Foundation Fellowship (Modeling, Simulation, and Training)

About this program

The Link Foundation offers the Modeling, Simulation, and Training Fellowship, a one‑year stipend of $35,000 (with a competitively awarded second year possible) to support Ph.D. research—especially human‑in‑the‑loop simulation and projects that advance training outcomes using simulation. Eligible applicants must be accepted and enrolled full‑time in a Ph.D. program at a U.S. or Canadian university (no citizenship restrictions); preference is given to students in candidacy with a well‑defined thesis and sufficient remaining time to complete their degree. Fellows must devote full‑time to their research, funds are routed through the university and are not intended for tuition, advisor salary, overhead, or support staff, a formal report is due by September 1 after the fellowship, and proposals are evaluated on innovation, technical soundness, feasibility and—where applicable—clear data, validation, and user‑study plans.
