About this program
The American Liver Foundation's Liver Scholar Award provides $225,000 over three years ($75,000/year) to support basic and translational research in liver biology and disease by early-career investigators. It is designed to develop outstanding junior faculty, helping bridge the gap between research training and independent, well-funded careers and to increase competitiveness for national funding such as the NIH. Applicants must be junior faculty holding MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degrees pursuing basic or translational liver research; established investigators and clinical research projects are ineligible, and application deadlines are announced via the ALF Research Awards mailing list.
