LS2 Travel Grant (sponsored by SCNAT)

About this program

The Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT), administered by Life Sciences Switzerland (LS2), offers LS2 Travel Grants to fund PhD students’ active participation (poster or talk) at conferences, covering economy travel, registration and hotel with a lifetime cap of 1,400 CHF and per-conference limits of up to 1,400 CHF (overseas), 800 CHF (European) and 100–800 CHF (online). Applications are accepted twice yearly (1 March and 1 September) and must be submitted by the applicant as an individual with a private Swiss bank account. Eligible applicants are PhD students who have held LS2 membership for at least one year at the time of application, must present at the meeting, indicate an LS2 section on the form, and upload a single PDF containing CV, conference abstract, publication list and a recommendation letter. Awardees are required to submit a minimum one-page travel/meeting report with a photo to info@ls2.ch for publication and to include LS2 and SCNAT logos on presentations or acknowledgement slides.
