Lundy Field Society research grants

About this program

The Lundy Field Society offers modest research grants (up to about £1,000) to support research on Lundy Island, particularly in the island’s history, archaeology and natural history; applications are accepted at any time. Eligible applicants are individuals or groups, and student applicants must include a supporting letter from an appropriate supervisor; funding will not be provided for salaries. Applications must be made on the LFS grant form and include a description of the proposed research, duration, funding requested, applicant details and references, and applicants must hold any required permits/permissions (the Lundy Warden can advise). Successful recipients may be asked to present at the Annual Meeting and must submit a report for the LFS Journal within three months of project completion; transport and accommodation cost information is available from The Lundy Company.
