Lupus Insight Prize

About this program

The Lupus Insight Prize, awarded by the Lupus Research Alliance (LRA), recognizes an outstanding investigator who has made a specific, significant, and recent (within the past five years) novel discovery that advances scientific understanding relevant to lupus. The award is designed to reward creativity and innovation and to catalyze further high‑impact research to test and translate that insight toward paradigm‑shifting advances in lupus understanding or treatment. Eligible nominees are investigators with a documented record of creativity/innovation whose nominated discovery occurred within the past five years; the Prize is explicitly not a lifetime achievement award. Selection emphasizes the discovery’s potential to substantially advance lupus research and increase public visibility of the disease.
