MAA/GSC Grant for Innovation in Community Building and Professionalization

About this program

The Medieval Academy of America offers the annual MAA/GSC Grant for Innovation in Community Building and Professionalization, generally providing one $2,000 award (which may be divided among projects) to support innovative initiatives for graduate student medievalists. Eligible activities include conferences, journals, workshops, performances, collaborative digital humanities projects, and research or professionalization activities that build interdisciplinary communities. Applicants and collaborators must be MAA members in good standing and full-time graduate students; the primary applicant must remain enrolled throughout the 12-month grant period. Applications are due February 15 and must include a proposal, budget, CVs, and faculty letter of support, with projects evaluated for professionalization, feasibility, promotion, and demonstrated need.
