About this program

The Chesapeake Bay Trust’s Maintenance Small Grants Program supports small-scale upkeep of Maryland watershed restoration projects, including invasive species removal or control and plant replacements or enhancements. Awards provide up to $500 per project, with applications accepted on a rolling basis until annual funds are exhausted. Eligible applicants include community-based organizations, homeowners associations, nonprofits, schools, faith-based groups, watershed organizations, youth and service groups, and municipalities serving fewer than 5,000 residents. Applicants may submit no more than two applications per organization each year, and funds may not be used to purchase non-native species.
