Medical Dermatology Career Development Award

About this program

The Dermatology Foundation’s Medical Dermatology Career Development Award funds early-career dermatologists pursuing mentored, patient-oriented clinical research and career development in severe or complex medical dermatology, with the aim of cultivating future leaders, educators, and clinical scholars. Supported projects may be hypothesis-driven or systematically examine natural history, therapy responses, or outcomes, and selection emphasizes the applicant’s mentor and mentorship plan. Applicants must conduct Foundation-funded research in the United States under the sponsorship of an ACGME‑approved dermatology department/division and meet the Foundation’s general and award‑specific eligibility requirements at the time of funding; candidates from minority and underserved populations are encouraged to apply.
